Description: This work sampling-based approach can be used to identify MSD hazards in non-repetitive work, which is common in sectors such as construction, agriculture and mining. This method uses posture codes that are based on the Ovako Work Posture Analysing System (OWAS), as well as tool use, loads handled and grasp type. Authors report that, "Observers can code the physical characteristics of the job reliably after about 30 h of training."
